Cloud Security Alliance Launches Website for Cloud
Nonprofit cloud security organization the Cloud Security Alliance announced on Monday it has formed a new online resource called the CSA Legal Information Center.
The new online resource is part of a CSA ongoing effort to help individuals and organizations gain a better understanding for legal issues surrounding cloud computing which can often be complicated.
The CSA is a not for profit organization that strives to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within Cloud Computing, educating individuals on the uses of cloud computing to help secure all other forms of computing.
The CLIC website is a free resource for cloud computing practitioners, regulators, and legal experts.

The website will provide objective information about the of existing laws and also identify laws that are being impacted by technology trends that may require modification, according to the press release.
CSA and Box will host a panel discussion titled and Foreign Laws Regulating Government Access to Data Held in the Cloud on February 28th from 9:00 am 11:00 am at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco.
Moderated by Francoise Gilbert, founder and GM of the IT Law Group as well as general counsel for the CSA, the panel will include legal and regulatory experts from seven countries.
The panel will explore a wide range of issues related to the rule of laws governing access of governments to data held in the cloud.
